What about swimming

No, swimming is good for you with lymphedema. I swim twice a week and it's been helping alot. You swim without your compression stockings after you put them back on when you get dressed. all in all I would suggest you give swimming a try, it's not as hard on your legs as other exercises like walk etc.

I don't swim well but I love to go kayaking. I leave the stocking off because I usually step out of the kayak and into shallow water. It is easier to get out when the kayak is in the water because my knee doesn't bend. The water is probably not clean and sometimes it is green near the shore. I am afraid that the stocking will hold dirty water against my skin. I clean and dry the skin then replace the stocking.
